Imagine the Bashing if Bush were the Mayor of New Orleans
After 9-11, the left started a new industry bashing Bush because he supposedly didn’t act quickly enough to respond to the terror attacks.
Imagine if Mayor Bush of New Orleans had a four-day warning of a category five hurricane and knew that those levees could only withstand category three hurricanes yet waited until two days before the disaster to call a mandatory evacuation that wasn’t very mandatory. Nor did it appear that he had an emergency plan for a catastrophe that was a known likelihood for 50 years.
On top of that Mayor Bush failed to use hundreds of school and city busses for the mostly poor Black population who had no transportation, which cause more needless deaths.
Then after hundreds, maybe thousands were dead, he decided to have what now appears to be a real mandatory evacuation for those who lived through the hurricane.
Mayor Bush would not only be called a racist, but be under investigation for gross (and possibly criminal) negligence.
